Good morning,
Running VMware Server v2.0.2 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits and have created two guest VMs as follows:
1 VCPU
1 Gb RAM
10 Gb vHDD
Windows 2008 Standard Server 32 bits
VMware Tools
Issues :
Whenever I try to update each VM (via Windows Update) the VMs freezes (VMs only) when asking to restart the server.
1 - My host (Win7) keeps on running and I not limited nor get any BSOD nor any slowdowns with the rest of my desktop apps (Outlook, IE, Firefox, etc..).
2 - CPU usage is low, so I now the VM is not consuming my CPU.
3 - HDD usage is low
4 - VMware server Web Access is unresponsive and I can`t log back into my VMware Infrastructure Web Access, error as follows:
"The server could not complete a request (HTTP 0). The server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request. If this problem persists, please contact the administrator."
5 - If I try to shutdown my host... it just gets stuck at the "shutdown" message and nothing else happens.
6 - When I reboot the Host and restart the VMs, the Windows Update (on the VM) continues like it has completed a graceful shutdown! No errors or nothing in the like (but goes back to item 4).
Has anyone experienced something like this ?
Kind regards,
Luis
