Dear Sir / Madam,
Your advice for the following issue would be appreciated. My host server at least once per day at random times hangs. If I have HP ASR turn on it will eventually restart the server otherwise it will remain hung. I turned the guest VM off for a while and the host still hanged. I uninstalled VM Server 2.0.1 and only then did the host server remain stable. The host server and guest server settings are as follows:
Host Server: Server Proliant BL465C G5 Windows 2003 Server Enterprise x64 SP2 32GB Memory AMD Opteron 2 x CPU 2.2 Ghz Quad-Core
VM Server Hosting Settings: 8GB Reserved for VM's, set as 'Fit all virtual memory into reserved host RAM'
Guest Server: Windows 2003 Server Enterprise x64 4GB Memory 2 Cpu
VM Configuration: Disable Acceleration and Support VMI Paravirtualization both unused. Virtualized MMU features not being used.
Any suggestions for stablising the host server will be gratefully received.
Kind Regards, Aarg
