Manually Remove Snapshots?

I have a Windows XP 32 bit guest in a Debian Linux 64 bit host.  I have removed the snapshot via the web control page.  This is what remains in the directory...

There appear to be 2 left over snapshot files occupying 31 gb of space.  The infrastructure page indicates there is no snapshot (only 'Take Snapshot' option is shown).  Is it safe to just manually delete the 2 files?
