Greetings all,
I just registered and was hoping any of you could help me with this problem, or at least figure it out together.
Rest asure, I won't be holding my breath till someone posts a reply to this post. If i figure it out in the mean time, I'll post the fix for it afterwards.
Nevertheless your help is very much needed.
Here's the thing:
I'm running Windows Server 2008 64x as host for VM ware Server 2.0
In virtual machine term's I want Fedora Core and Server 2003 running.
During the VMware server installation vmnet1 and vmet8 adapters were succesfully added, yet vmnet0 didn't come up.
Now, in the situation I want vmware working, vmnet0 or bridged, is crucial.
I've spent countless hours surfing the net for solutions such as adding the "unknown device" in Device Manager as "E1000", or "AMD family ethernet" and such, untill I succesfully added VMnet0 through the use of netbridge.sys.
When I try to go about starting my virtual machine with the vmnet0 selected as it's network adapter, my host (Server200864x) BSOD's into the following:
0xD1 or sometimes 0xB3
fwpkclnt.sys
It results into countless BSOD's with said variations above, even to the point where I had to Safe Mode my way into my server again.
Currently NAT works fine, but is not what I want.
If anyone has any idea on how to fix this, shoot!
I'm dying to try something new rather than reinstalling the vmnet0 adapter all the time.
