I have a Windows 2000 Server I converted from a physical machine, but now in the virtual I can't get to the network adapter. The adapter shows in Device Manager, but not in the Control Panel so I can't assign an IP address. Meanwhile, it appears to be defaulted to DHCP which might be ok except it doesn't get an address. See below. The "reboot" and "disconnect and reconnect" suggestions haven't worked the first dozen tries.....help....
Set as Bridged, but have tried NAT also, doesn't improve anything.
