Import .vmdk file to new virtual machine

Hello all -

I am trying desperately to figure VMWare server 2 out, but am having trouble.  I have been trying to get 2 virtual hard disks (2 .vmdk files)

imported into VMWARE Server.  When I go to create the new virtual machine I specify that I want to use an existing hard disk.

I then click Browse and the only thing that comes up is the "datastore."  I have the converted files sitting in a folder on my damn desktop

and I can't browse there.

What am I missing?
