I have a Windows Server 2003 host, with an Ubuntu Linux guest. The guest OS is going into suspended mode without my interaction. I have the guest set to start/stop with the OS, but the server has been online for weeks. I don't think it is power settings because the host is set to 'Always On' mode. What could be causing this? What information can I provide to help diagnose and fix this issue?
This is the only noteworthy log entry on the guest:
==> vmware-tools-guestd <== Tue Feb 10 13:56:09 EST 2009 : Executing '/etc/vmware-tools/suspend-vm-default'
The Events tab on the VMware Infrastructure Web Access on the host says "Initiated guest OS standby" with no details.
Thanks,
Mark Richman
