bridge not working (red cross symbol)

Hi,

Question:

How do I need to configure my guest that its none-private IP is transparently reachable from outside

and the guest can reach transparently the internet (as if it is a standalone server)?

I have:

VMware servre 2.0

Host: OpenSuse 10.3 with severalofficial IPs (not private)

Guest: OpenSuse 11.1 with an official IP (not private)

After starting http://localhost:8222/ui my guest has its IP,

but the host has the same IP (as configured with vmware-config.pl) to have a bridge.

-> A ping from the guest to the outside world fails

-> A ssh from the host to the guest IP logs in to the host
