Cannot register virtual machine in VMWare Server 2

Hi, all:

I've created a virtual machine (OpenSuSE 12.1 32 bit) in VMWare Workstation 7; then I copied it to a VMWare Server 2 host.

When I try to register the virtual machine via web, the server crashes (or at least the webpage stop responding), so I tried to register it via command line.

After searching a bit I've found this:

The issue now is that I cannot find any vmware-cmd anywhere, and when I run vmware-vim-cmd I get the following error:

vmh2:/data/vmachines/postgresql-box # vmware-vim-cmd solo/registervm /data/vmines/postgresql-box/postgresql-box.vmx
Failed to login: vim.fault.NoPermission

So I'm stuck.... can somebody help me?

BTW: what's ESX, ESXi and what version of ESXi is included in VMWare Server 2?
