I Have Vmware server 2.0 Build 29 /10/2008 and it is running on CENT OS 5.2 ( might not be fully supported platform), anyway... Vmware Server Has been working fine except for one issue,
when creating a virtual machine (or indeed creating an additional hard disk ) the Pre allocation of disk space does not work when you sellect split files into 2GB Files,
It looks like it does ( creates anumber of files ) however the disk space occupied by each of these "2GB" Splits are 16k :(....
(the reason I chose 2Gb Disk Files was to make moving files between servers that bit easier)
basically the only work around that I have found is to turn off the Split disk into 2GB Files 
Is there something im doing wrong or is there any way of working around this issue ?
