SNMP service issue [snmpd ]

Hi All,

I am seeking for help about the snmp service in ESX 2.5.3. Whenever i am trying to restart the snmp service it is failed to start.

# /etc/init.d/snmpd restart

Stopping snmpd:                                               // service in not stoping at all

Starting snmpd:                                           

# service snmpd status

snmpd (pid 1630 1619) is running...    / I tried to kill the both pid's by using #kill -9 1630 1619 but not getting killed at all.

I am looking for the comminity suggestion  without restarting of the ESX server how we can solve the issue.
