I have VMWare Server 2 running on my Windows 7 Pro x64. The two machines I have installed are Windows Server 2008 Std SP2 x64 and Debian Mint.
Neither of them allow for my 32GB Sandisk Cruzer to be connected to the remote console. "Connect" is greyed out in both the devices menu on the RC windows, and the icon in the bottom trey. I have both installed with VMware Tools, no luck. And actually, Server 08 allows the cursor to move from host to guest and vice versa without the use of Alt-Ctrl while Linux does not. Thats not a big issue but it concerns me as what else is broken.
Also, ANY USB device I have connected is not able to connect. External HDDs, printer, etc.
I made the move from VMware player to Server to allow for time my VMs to power on, so far I am not impressed, and quite irritated infact. Both of these machines running under VMWare Player connect PnP devices with no issue. Is this normal with VMWare Server 2 or is it just an anomaly?
The cruzer is connected to the mobo's USB 2.0 ports, not by a hub or any other USB device. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
