I created a virtual image of 500GB and install windows 2003 and MS SQL application. At some points the SQL application is using 400GB storage. Which cause the .vmdk images to be 400GB. now I cleared up the SQL database and shrink the database and remove the log file and now the Virtual images is only 50GB.
When I go to my computer it showed 450G free out of 500GB.
My question is I'm only using 50GB space. Why does the .vmdk still at 400GB? How do I shrink the unwanted space? or I cannot? If not how do I get it back to 50GB what is my option?
