We had vmware Server 2.02 running on a Windows 7 Professional x64. And had a Red hat virtual machine running. Two days ago we had a powercut, and when power was back, our virtual machine started, but we coul not reach it, when you clicked the virtual machine you did not get the tabs in the UI with the conslle tab for instance.
I then removed vmware server, and reinstalled it. After that I tried login with same usual administrator account, and get this:
"The server was unable to process your log in request. Please check with your server administrator."
We have tried reinstall it several times, tried with a different user, checked so all services are running. What can the problem be?
We have had similar problem since the begining of vmware server 2 was released. It would be much better if you could go back to the vmware server 1.0 application, much better, simpler and much faster UI, and it does not have all the problems vmware Server 2.0 have.
