How to get rid of msg.noAutodetectBackingQuestion message?

Hi, all:

We've been using VMWare Server 2 for a long time; we've recently copied VM between several VMware servers for testing purposes. Some of those copies showed the following message when they were launched:

msg.noAutodetectBackingQuestion:Cannot connect virtual device ide1:0. No corresponding device is available on the host.
Would you like an attempt to be made to connect this virtual device every time you power on the virtual machine?

clicking on No (recommended) and rewritting the snapshot solved the problem and from that moment on they worked fine when returning to that new snapshot.

But I have a couple of copies of those VM that still show that message once and once again, despite using the same procedure as I used with the rest of them. That's awful because I use scripts to revert to a snapshot to automatize the testing environments, and I have to click manually on the "No (recommended)" button everytime I launch those testing boxes.

How can I get rid of that annoying message? I've checked that the vmware user has full permissions on the VM directory to overwrite preferences and so.

Thanks for your help,

Luis
