Hi all
I have a vm created in OSX Fusion with the following settings
OS= freebsd (running openbsd with freebsd bin compat)
MEM=512
processors = 2 virt procs
Disks=3 ; IDE disk, 8GB, (x)split into 2GB), 1 IDE Disk 4 GB (x)split into 2GB, iSCSI disk 8 GB (x)split into 2GB
network = bridged
all other settings are to none/disabled (the printer is not conected, but vmware says 1 config even though its not)
In the web frontend when 'add a vm to the lib' button, i add the openbsd4.4.vmx config, it crashes hostd with this in the log and the web interface says' error 0, some unexpected thing had happened.
Destination system is linux ubunto 8.04 TLS (64bit / minimal) with a AMD X2 5600+ 64bit with the newest Vmware server 2.0.0 build 122956.
with most settings to defaut.
An other vm with freebsd and only one disk, works fine.
In the log file, it seems not to find an aweful lot of files, which seems to be there, ans some files, I do not have clue where it gets the name from it and what they should be.
It runs fine here on my Mac though.
Any help greatly appreciated.
I cannot run the converter (WIn$$ only to check on the VM I have here. Maybe there are some restrictions on what disks to use?
After the hostd has crashed, it's not really possible to start it again through the start script, it just fails to be run. reboot fixes this, but this istn an option when other vms are running... A good way of starting hostd with the correct env again would be good.
Thanks
Christian
