I am running server 2.0 and just 1 guest os right now (pfsense/freebsd 8.1). The problem I am having is that if I remove the network cable from the physical NIC, the guest os does not see that it was disconnected. The issue for me is that if the upstream connection is restarted, the guest os will not see that it's down and will not ask for a new ip. I've googled and looked everywhere, but can't seen to find an answer.
It's either an issue with the guest OS, or something I've done, or something that can be set in the server.
I would appreciate any help.
I will note that I have disabled all protocols on the host os (2008r2 server, intel nic) except the vmware bridge driver (did not want host os talking to the nic).
