We had a power outage on a VMware Server 2.0 host and two files that were part of a split VMDK file, were corrupt. We ran:
fsck.reiserfs --rebuild-tree /dev/sda2
To hopefully bring those corrupt files back to life, but not they're completely gone
I realize this is a stretch, but is there anyway to bring that VMDK back to life, even if it were missing ~4 GB of data?
This is on a Netware 6.5 virtual machine. When I go into the 'parent' VMDK file and remove the lines referencing those two files, I can add that virtual disk back, but the Netware server does not see it as a valid partition.
